As Managing Director & Principal Consultant, Peter is responsible for managing all areas of the business, delivering client results, and continuously developing new ways of working that help his clients think, act and lead better. Peter’s consulting work covers 4 key areas: Strategy & Innovation, Operational Excellence, Projects & Issue Resolution.
- In Strategy & Innovation, Peter specialises in facilitating leaders through the key strategic decisions necessary to form a clear, cohesive and compelling strategy. He also develops the execution skills, processes and leadership capabilities necessary to turn strategic vision into reality. Within innovation, Peter has significant experience in transforming New Product Development (NPD) ‘Stage-Gate’ processes to improve the success of innovations, while reducing the speed-to-market and addressing the sources of business waste and inefficiencies. In 2013, Peter was part of a 3-man team that was “Highly Commended” in the Strategy category of the Management Consultancy Association (MCA) awards.
- In Operational Excellence, Peter has a passion for delivering production & supply chain transformation through the deployment of Lean Thinking. His work includes product complexity reduction, optimisation of the manufacturing & logistical footprint, as well as addressing the wastes within individual factories or value streams. Peter helps his clients to reduce operating costs, shorten lead times and significantly improve quality & safety performance. He is a trained Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.
- In Projects, Peter has supported his clients as a consultant and trainer in both the delivery of special projects, as well as helping them to institutionalise good project and portfolio management capability and practice. He has been responsible for coaching a $1bn mining project, large organisational SAP rollouts, as well as many capital and process improvement projects.
- In Issue Resolution, Peter has an outstanding reputation for helping his clients conduct structured root cause analysis of complex quality, engineering or safety problems. Peter provides training, coaching and facilitation using world class problem solving tools and execution methods.
Peter holds a Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Birmingham and an MBA with Distinction from Aston Business School.
