Jon specialises in delivering outstanding results for his manufacturing and engineering clients, in the areas of Operational Excellence, Projects, Problem Solving & Leadership Development.
Jon brings a huge amount of experience to the Pico team, with a consulting career spanning over 25 years and 30+ countries around the globe. In the last six years, he has worked extensively in the Middle East and Africa, predominantly in the FMCG, Oil & Gas, Chemicals, Paper and other ‘heavy industry’ sectors.
Jon places a strong emphasis on achieving great business results by transforming operational processes and culture. In Operational Excellence, this has included driving improved quality performance through effective Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and proactive risk reduction. In Projects, Jonathan has an extremely strong international reputation for helping organisations to develop Organisational Project Management Capability. Jonathan’s strength in this area is in helping his clients to establish the project management skills, processes, systems and culture necessary to consistently deliver projects, on-time and on-budget.
Jon’s successful consulting career was built on over 14 years of experience in a variety of operations, engineering and project roles in the mining sector. He graduated from Bradford University in 1983 with an honours degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, passed statutory law examinations in 1985 and achieved Chartered Engineer’s status in 1988. Jon has presented at several international conferences and has an MBA from Henley Business School. His recent clients include ExxonMobil, Diageo, Smurfit Kappa, BMW, Johnson Controls, Nikon, Arcelor Mittal, Coca Cola and TetraPak
